IF YOU DIED TODAY....DO YOU KNOW YOU WOULD GO TO HEAVEN?
It's a question we all have to face sometime. No one
knows when an unforeseen event could come into our lives. A car wreck,
heart attack, stroke, terrorists attack, or a multitude of other things
could come in and immediately take our lives and our eternity would be
sealed. PERIOD. No time for calling a loved one, talking to the preacher,
and worst of all, no time to ask Christ to save you. Why not take a moment
and answer this question for yourself once and for all.... If I died today,
do I KNOW I would go to Heaven? Dear friend, if you can not answer that
question with a joyful "YES!", please look at what the Bible says we must do
to have that assurance. It is simple, but necessary if you want to call
Heaven your home.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the
truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
John 14:6
Nobody else can save you. It's simple to trust
Jesus! Now is the time.
Admit you are a sinner. (Romans
3:10)
Be Willing to turn from your sin -
repent. (Acts 17:30)
Believe that Jesus Christ died for
you, was buried and rose from the dead. (Romans 10:9-10)
Through prayer, invite Jesus into
your life to become your personal Saviour. (Romans 10:13)
If you do not know
what to pray, you can pray something like the following prayer, making it
YOUR sincere request to God for His gift of Salvation:
Dear God,
I know I am a
sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His
precious blood and died for my sin on Calvary. I am willing to turn from
sin and now, to the best of my ability, I invite Christ to come into my
heart and life and be my personal Lord and Savior. Amen.
